Sneak Peek: Chats

To clear up any confusion about our recent mention of DMs for Kilimanjaro and up we'd like to provide an outline of the improvements we will be working on.

All chats are one-to-one, for everyone

• Every message between the same two people can be viewed in a single 1:1 chat, like any other messenger. Sending a message directly in this chat acts like, you guessed it, Direct Messages.
• All of your existing chat history is safe. We will carefully migrate and merge everything using smart messages.
• The limitation on Fuji and Elbrus applies only to making a new connection – the first time you reach out to someone you have to use one of their Posts/ISOs, but you get to keep that chat for the future (maybe even get to DM any person who knows you already).

Smart messages

• A convenient way to quickly and easily see only the messages related to a specific trade as well as continue the conversation about a trade.
• All of your trading history is safe. You will be able to check all your trade-specific messages with one click, just like now, but they will also live in 1:1 chats where you are able to see all of the correspondence with the other user, all at once.

More flexible trades

• Start a trade any time from a 1:1 chat thanks to the smart messages.
• Add items to a trade, remove items from a trade, at any time.
• Start a trade from a Post/ISO to save a few clicks – a trade with the item is started automatically.
• You can cancel at any point if things aren't moving forward.
